ICEBOX, LT Territory - Yesterday, the Light Troops and the Underground Mafia’s Army had a Practice Battle schedule, but what was the outcome?
The Light Troops, who were placed 4th in the official SMAC Top Ten contacted the leaders of the Underground Mafia’s Army to scheduled a friendly Practice Battle at short notice.
Therefore, at 7pm GMT yesterday, both armies logged onto the server Ice Box, but the UMA only lasted 5 minutes before surrendering. LT maxed a size of 21 and displayed a decent array of tactics, with the odd exceptional one. Below show some pictures of the event – click to enlarge.
In their victory, the Light Troops leadership said:
Today we have logged on Icebox, we have had a practice battle with UMA, however after about 5 minutes of the battle they’ve surrender. We got a good size, maxed 21 and averaged 18, but I expect a better size next time.

Q: What happened yesterday at your Practice Battle against the Light Troops?
A: We had a big chat size which was around 20 people, but then the owners started to argue and cuss, so we lost a lot of the recruits. So when the event came, we failed and decided to log off.
Q: How will you make sure this doesn’t happen again?
A: I don’t know, the owners don’t respect the recruits I bring in and go by their own rules, implying the rules don’t work here.
Q: Do you see a rematch any time in the future?
A: Not unless we sort out our internal problems.
